The mission of Foundations School is to identify and impart truth, build character and inspire service.
Our vision is to equip students with the tools needed to be leaders in learning, eager to go in to the world, resisting evil and serving others.
CORE FOUNDATIONS
Faith Foundations:
We teach each student to be able to read and determine how to be independently dependent on God.
Educational Building Blocks
Inspire and challenge each student to take their own education into their hands.
Character Development
Strengthen pillar characteristics such as accountability, trustworthiness, respect, kindness, compassion and citizenship.
Strengthening Families and Communities:
We believe that a strong education leads to confident productive citizens who are mindful of their families and communities around them.
A Beautiful Place To Grow
Bible Based
The Bible part of our program is just that. We teach from the Bible. We do not affiliate with any organization, doctrine or theology, we just teach scripture.
Trade Focused
We are creating a program that will allow our students to have a chance to explore all of the job opportunities that North Idaho has to offer. We offer a skills day that allows students to explore the trades.
Creating the Program
We will challenge our students to be complex thinkers and doers. We have made it part of our mission to exceed all of the Idaho State Standards for Education.
We are:
Foundations School is a non-profit, Bible based, and trade focused K-12 school. We are unique in our ability to meet each individual student where they are and create a learning program for just them. Every student is at a different place of development and knowledge. We value the different learning styles and work diligently to teach every student in a way that they are receptive to retaining the information.
Foundations School is growing by leaps and bounds. We have plans to open two additional classrooms in the fall of 2025 and bring our preschool program out to the school. Foundations School aims to be a light in North Idaho, serving students from Sandpoint all the way up to the border. Starting in the fall of 2025, Foundations school will be able to serve families with children from 5 weeks old all the way up through graduation. We aim to partner with families in growing competent, capable, and God fearing students all the way up to adulthood.

Thank you to Northern Air for the tour and opportunities to use the simulation machines. The students loved it!
We learned so much about flying, mechanics, and maintenance. I think we have some future pilots in this group!

🌻 Helping Hands of Naples – October Meeting Update 🌻
We were honored to welcome special guests Charlie Turner, Administration Executive, and Julie Montgomery, Principal of Foundations School, at our October meeting!
Foundations School is a non-profit Christian, trades-based K–12 school located in Naples, currently serving 50 students. They welcome students of all types and from all backgrounds, including those who thrive with a different approach to education outside the traditional public school system.
Their program engages students through weekly outings to local trade businesses in the Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint areas, giving them valuable hands-on experience and exposure to real-world skills.
Community service is also a key part of their mission, encouraging students to give back and stay involved in our local area.
Helping Hands of Naples looks forward to staying connected with both Foundations School and Naples Magnet School to support student needs wherever we can. 💛

Our students had an awesome time visiting AL Wilson Auto for Skills Day. They loved exploring the shop and getting a firsthand look at all the cool projects in progress.
From engines to diagnostics, our kids were completely engaged, we just might have some future mechanics in the making!
